Self Love

Self love is not just a concept; it is also active.  I remember when I saw self love only as a concept; I thought it was something I was supposed to feel.  I believed that self love was simply saying, “I love myself.”  This concept expanded to saying specific things about my body that I didn’t like…for example, I didn’t like my tummy.  Each time I would look down at my tummy, I would frown and think, “I need to get rid of that,” or “I look so fat”.  My practice of self love expanded to positive affirmations.  I replaced those words with “I love my little tummy” and “my tummy is pretty”.  I would then rub my tummy and say, “Aren’t you sweet?”  LOL

Then, one day I realized that doing these simple things were wonderful, but self love encompassed so much more.

Self love is active.  Self love is looking at yourself in the mirror and believing you are gorgeous.  Self love is honoring the cycles of your body in active ways.  Self love is doing something kind for yourself that you know will make you happy.

Only when you act on your love will it manifest…blossoming into a beautiful, gorgeous, well loved “YOU”.

This mini course is a four week project designed to help you discover you; your likes and dislikes, your strengths and weaknesses, your body, and your spirit…and to begin to feel those little heart flips and butterflies for your own beautiful self~
