Many students are concerned about protecting their public identities. We are committed to helping students keep their public identities private. 13. What does the curriculum consist of?

The curriculum is experiential, practice-based rather than knowledge-based. Developing a consistent daily, weekly, and monthly spiritual practice is the cornerstone of the teachings. We learn by doing, by internalizing skills and knowledge and shaping them into an individual practice compatible with our individual beliefs.

White Moon Course:
Level I is focused on creating sacred space, engaging in ritual, and learning about the history of The Goddess. Level II is focused on meditation, energy work, and divination, (especially via the Motherpeace Tarot), and offers 3 paths from you to learn in (magick, prayer, healing). Level III is focused on dream work, astral work, and offers 3 paths to learn in (teaching, community ministry, rituals and rites of passage). Most of these elements are incorporated in some way into each level. Levels II and III offer the option of elective areas of study.

Priestess Path:

This course offers you the tools to become consciously awarene of your inherent abilities. This is not a ministry course; it is designed solely for the exploration of Goddess and Self. If you are interested in ministering to others or solemnizing weddings, we direct you to our ministry course of study. During the Moons cycle (28.5 days) you will experience:

Immersion - studying your resources.
Application -offering your thoughts and insights.
Exercises - creating your own rituals, etc.
Integration- expressing how you use this in your solitary practice.

14. What if I have absolutely no experience in this type of spiritual work?

Then you are welcome here! We would like to suggest the White Moon course to newcomer's. You will be given the basics in Level I and allowed to progress at a comfortable speed.

15. What if I already am quite experienced in this type of spiritual work?

You are also welcome here! You will be able to take what you already know and build on that. There is great benefit to beginning at the beginning! The lessons are designed to be flexible to the student's level of experience. As long as you are willing to try new ways of doing things and to consistently apply what you know in your daily spiritual practice, you will find the school has much to offer you. You might benefit from either the White Moon course or the Priestess Path! Please feel free to conacts us to discuss which might be a better fit for your needs.

16.
Is there any way to "test out" of certain material?
No, there isn't. Because the material is practice-based rather than knowledge-based, you must be willing to experience all of the lessons.

17.
How can I blend the White Moon curriculum or the Priestess path with my current spiritual practice?

In any way that suits you! The focus of the school is on The Goddess with the premise that she is harmonious with all of spirituality. If you are a Christian, you may choose a Christian form of Goddess to honor (Mother Mary, Mary Magdalene, Sophia, a female saint). Place her on your altar along with Christ. If you are Jewish, you might choose Lilith or Asherah. If you are Buddhist, you might choose Quan Yin. Many women find that blending Goddess Spirituality to whatever part of your current spiritual practice "works" for you right now is a great experience. If you aren't sure - please feel free to ask and we can offer suggestions to assist you with ideas on how to blend your studies with your current spiritual practice.

18. What if I disagree with some of the information or views in the textbooks?

While we ask that you open your mind to consider other viewpoints, ultimately it is up to you to take what you like and leave the rest. This is one of the strengths of Women's Spirituality -- You are Goddess, You are Source. Trust your inner-knowing, and find what's right for you.
We also find that through the experience of disagreement with something, that we find out more about ourselves and our own beliefs.

19.
What if I feel very uncomfortable with an assignment? Will I be required to complete it?

Again, you will be encouraged to "push the envelope" a bit on your comfort level. But if your intuition tells you something is definitely wrong for you, feel free to modify the assignment into something that is more comfortable or to request an alternative assignment.

20.
Will other students harass me because of my spiritual beliefs?

Certainly not. Such harassment will not be tolerated. So far, we haven't had any problems with this whatsoever. However, if any harassment does occur, it will be immediately stopped. Our community is dedicated to having Sisters in Celebration a safe, comfortable environment for everyone. If you ever feel uncomfortable with a thread of discussion or with a developing situation, please contact us immediately and we will work through it together for peaceful resolution.

21.
Why only focus on The Goddess? What about God/The God? Many of our students do honor the Masculine Divineor The God; some feel more comfortable focusing on Goddess only. There are many more places to learn about male expressions of the Divine than there are places to learn about female expressions of the Divine. As we honor the Feminine Divine, we honor the Divine in ourselves, as women and we honor the Feminine Divine in other women. We empower ourselves spiritually, psychologically, emotionally, and physically. This is the focus of Sisters in Celebration.

22. Why aren't men allowed to join the school? In focusing on female empowerment, it is necessary to limit the scope of our community. Women deserve and need women-only spaces in order to heal and grow. While we certainly hope that men will explore Goddess studies, we regret that our limited focus here cannot include them.

23. Is there a required time-frame for completing this course?

The minimum timeframe for White Moon studies is 13 months for the first three levels. A student would need to submit one lesson per week in order to complete the course within this time frame.

The minimum timefrane for the PriestessPath is 13 months. A student would need to submit one lesson per month to complete the course within this timeframe.

Students are encouraged to work through the lessons at their own pace and are encouraged to participate in the sisterhood community. 26. What if I choose to discontinue my studies here?

We highly recommend you consider this decision carefully. We also request that you contact us at sistersincelebration @ gmail.com with your intentions so that we may offer you alternatives.
The studies are here for you to do at your own pace and you are free to do lesson or a lesson part when you are able and ready to do so. Should you choose to stop  your studies completely and have no intention of ever completing a lesson ; allowing you to remain in the SIC community may create unrest among the sisters that are placing much of their focus in tending to their lessons and creating a community that is essentially based upon these traditional lessons. If you choose to dis-enroll from your studies, keep in mind that this includes being dis-enrolled from the Sisters in Celebration community as well.

27. I am reading that this group offers great support; is this a counseling type of group?

The sole purpose of this school is for self empowerment and self growth; it is not intended to replace any type of counseling or therapy. While we encourage our sisters to be open and honest with her changes and periods of growth, we shall always show our loving support by suggesting a type of outside professional therapy when a student needs more advanced assistance with her internal changes.

28. Is the White Moon course a prerequisite to the Priestess Path course or are they separate?

They are separate; there are no pre-requisites to enrolling in either course. One way a woman determines which is better suited to her is by reflecting upon how she best learns. The Priestess Path is more self-directed, while the White Moon teachings have an extremely defined curriculum.

29. What expectations are there for completing the White Moon course or the Priestess Path successfully?

The student determines success; ones dedication shows when lessons are thorough, timely and chocked full of hearty, nurturing explorations.

30. What is the definition of "Priestess"; what would constitute a vocation to be a Priestess or a High Priestess?

Even though there is a commonly accpeted definition of a Piestess being a woman who presides over religios rites; it is our thought that this definition is personal. We are each so unique, so diverse that each student is empowered from within to define Priestess for herself to discover her stylized vocation as a Priestess of Goddess.

31. Once finished with course work , does one still stay a member of the Sisters in Celebration online community?

Once enrolled in White Moon or Priestess Path courses a woman is an integral part of the Sisters in Celebration community and she takes her leave at the time of her own choosing.
